Greetings...
So I hanging out at my parent's house today in Louisiana.. enjoying a day off work and pumped up for the presidential debate tonight.. especially given the good week that the Democrats have had. By the way I have seen no less than 20 GOP ads but very few DNC ads...Then I get a call from the Bush/Cheney campaign.... and a little fun begins.
The nice old man says he is from the parish center for Bush/Cheney looking for support and wants to ask me a few questions. This seems like fun so I say yes...
His first question was could I count on your support of President Bush this November? I answer emphatically no. The second question was whether I support Representative Vitter for the US Senate. I answer a strong no again. This really has confused the friendly questioner, who then declares there is no need to ask the 3rd question, which is whether I would like to volunteer (money/time) for the campaign this year. I tell him that he must be looking at the John Kerry list and he laughs a bit.
In any event... this is what the GOP is doing here in Louisiana. I wonder if anyone else has similar recruiting stories?
Eric
