Survey USA has its new poll out in Michigan (MoE of 4,3%):
Kerry: 51%
Bush: 41%
Other: 5%
+ 9 Kerry among men, + 10 among women
Bush leads by one among whites however: 47-46
Now a very interesting result:
88% of Bush voters say they are voting "for Bush", while only 40% of Kerry voters say they are voting "for Kerry" (56 % say they are voting "against Bush).
Well, as long as they don't vote for Bush, everything's great.
Kerry carries the union vote 62-31, but he loses the non-union vote 49-44.
Kerry also carries the votes of the self-labeled "moderates" 61 to 31.
The most recent poll out of Michigan had a one point Kerry lead, other polls had him 3 to 5 points ahead.
This poll is either an outlier or the proof that Michigan is solid Kerry territory.
What do you think? Is Michigan still a toss-up state?
And let's not forget that Michigan is one of the states that Bush is bombarding with anti-Kerry ads... So this 10 point lead is truly outstanding!
