Quite often, as I read through the mostly thoughtful posts on this site, I am offended to find that I am not welcome here. First, I live in a dreaded "red state" (Arizona) and second, I live in the suburbs, in a gated community no less, which apparently puts me on questionable ground (to say the least) here, and in the liberal community at large.
I stand with the majority on this site on almost all of the issues, and yet cannot help but feel attacked regularly by those who continue to spread the red/blue farce, created by the media (and I am wondering about Rove here too.) I now see why so many of my neighbors and others have abandoned a party which continually questions our loyalties. I am tried and true Democrat and not going anywhere, but it is very much in spite of all of this.

Is there still room under the umbrella for those who choose the suburban life? Or for those who just happen to live in the so-called Red states? Remember, we are the ones who are most often confronted on our views. We suffer abuses from both sides. Isn't this supposed to be the party of inclusiveness? Maybe we need to work on it. Thoughts?
