Hello dKos Community,
I got a great bunch of feedback and support from the last diary I did. I figured I owed an update on the mood of the campaign and what the activities are here in Washington State.
Ben Krokower here, Technology Director for the Gregoire for Governor campaign. As usual, the phones are going off the hook with volunteers and donations here in the campaign office and I hear that the situation is similar at the State Party offices as well. Everybody and everything is working at capacity. Right now, out battle is simply getting dependable volunteers in all 39 counties in Washington State. We need to staff 39 county auditor's offices from December 8 through December 20 with people that we can count on who will work in the Democratic Party's interest. There will be trainings held all over the state of Washington for various volunteer on how to become a Democratic Party Observer. There's details in the extended entry.
Like yesterday, I'll answer as many questions as I can in the comments of this post.
As far as the race to get enough funds to put a down payment on the manual recount is still going full steam, but we're all optimistic about the outcome so I've moved my focus to simply making sure that the manual recount is properly executed.
To sign up for the training or to sign up to volunteer please
