Normally I'm not one to complain, but last week I said something rather blunt about a guy's one line link to a story he posted AS A DIARY and I have been flamed so bad for it I am apparently no longer "trusted". I'm sorry if I hurt the "Election Fraud Nazi's" feelings by being a "Diary Nazi", but if I see one more aggregious vote fraud DU link that hides itself as a diary scrolling meaningful, thoughtful commentary off the recent diaries list, I may scream.
Diaries are, to me, at least, a sort of combination political essay/newspaper story with sources. There is nothing wrong with posting a link to a story you find interesting, but you should do that on the open threads. Diaries are more serious (at least to my way of thinking)
I think diaries should contain some analysis, and, while I think the voter fraud issue is important, I would like to get some information I haven't seen before in a diary...with some independant thought (even if its just "this sucks"). Not begging for tips, just wondering if I was too rude here or if I'm justified...also, does this irritate anyone but me?
Please take the poll...
