I recommend checking out David Brooks' column in the NYT this morning. It looks like he's trying to wear the loopy mantle of Peggy Nooner, since she disappointed us with her critique of AWoL on Russert. Brooks steps up to the plate, giving us a whole column of what Bush
would have said if he was articulate. Here's the highlight:
"I see Americans going about their business, watching the Super Bowl and reacting to it all. But I couldn't watch most of the Super Bowl and I didn't have a reaction to the whole halftime fiasco because I had to go to bed and be ready for the continuing war the next day."
