Music for America calls it participation. Drew McManus says we need to feel the ownership of being
patrons and not consumers. Dean and Clark rose because they had movements that reached beyond themselves. While the media showed it could hammer a candidate into the ground - in Dean's case - or simply ignore him until he went away - in Clark's case - this is not the end.
