On the latter half of Hardball just now, David Shuster ran a segment on the making/production of campaign ads (both positive and negative) for a hypothetical Frist vs. Edwards campaign. Needless to say, it was an informative segment, and always fun to see some behind the scenes-type footage (granted they took much longer to do the ads than a real campaign would).
However, the fact that former Dean media advisor Steve McMahon was one of the guests invited to critique the ads leads me to my point...
Steve McMahon is still a smug bastard. Does he not realize that everything he was saying along the lines of "this is how to make effective ads" contradicts
everything Trippi, McMahon, Squire did in producing Dean's ads? Does he not realize that the "fake" ads produced for the segment were better than the shit TMS did for Dean? And what was with his backhand slap of Edwards, too?
Thanks -- needed to vent a little.
