Two things--David Kay and the CIA say they weren't pressured, but that's not the issue anyway.
And the problem with the CIA is that they're too scientific and don't play hunches.
Now I'm no expert on CIA methods, but when retired CIA agents have been coming forward for the last year and saying that Cheney and his staff were pressuring them, I tend to believe them. And while there's certainly a place for hunch playing when it comes to intelligence gathering, seems to me that those hunches have gotten us into a world of hurt in the past as well, i.e. Bay of Pigs, Pinochet, Laos, etc.
