...would be for Kerry to propose a Code of Ethics for his future administration, that would implicate the tactics of this administration.
It would go something like this...
- We will not ask members of our administration to lie or withhold information which might give America a fairer understanding of our policies.
- We will not give manipluated data to congress in order to effect votes for our programs.
- We will not use images of national tragedies for fundraising purposes of political gain.
- We will not try and limit public debate by questioning the partiotism of our opponents.
Suggestions? (I'd like to get to 10.)
Putting out a document, along with a speech, would allow Kerry to take the high road without ever having to mention Bush by name and eventually open the door for him to ask GWB to sign the thing.
