From the early days of Governor Bush's campaign, until as recently as several months ago, the nation lifed in a knowledge vortex. It's not like information about the disaster that is George W. wasn't available, it's just that it all seemed to be sucked up before the collective consciousness could see it.
Then Ari Fletcher resigned.
It's been said that Mr. Fletcher can suck all the information our of a room, and this description is far too modest. During his tenure as Metatron to the Dark Lord, Fletcher gripped the entire press by the balls, dismissing questioning reporters, filling briefings with lies and otherwise ensuring no truth would ever be printed.
Of course everything is overdetermined, and the rise of Dean, the lack of WMDs and the collapse of the job market have no doubt taken their toll. My question is this: how did the resignation of Ari Fletcher allow the truth about Bush to finally reach the masses?
