Joe Hoeffel today got a huge boost from MoveOn.org in his battle with Senator Arlen Specter with their much needed endorsement.

Another local Dem got the endorsement from MoveOn.org as well, a member of our very own DKos8, Lois Murphy (PA-6)!
Congratulations to both of them, and let the name recognition begin!
Some of the juicy parts:
"It's a dynamic organization that has helped get a number of new voices into the political arena," said Kristin Carvell, Hoeffel's campaign spokeswoman. "We think it will work well for Joe Hoeffel. We feel honored that we are the first and only Senate candidate on the list so far."
And about Lois Murphy's camp:
The Sixth Congressional District covers parts of Montgomery, Chester and Berks Counties, stretching from Lower Merion to Reading. Pundits said the district was drawn to favor Gerlach, but his Democratic challenger in 2002, Dan Wofford, nearly defeated him in a race that was a lot closer than expected.
A poll taken for the Murphy campaign by the Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group showed that Gerlach is what they called "the invisible man" and not well-known in the district.
Because MoveOn.org knows what Kos knows, that early money is like yeast, and that Pennsylvania is such an important state this year, both in terms of the Presidential race and in potential pickups in both the House and Senate, they've made these endorsements early:
Hoeffel and Murphy were two of the first four candidates whose campaigns were singled out as needing financial support from MoveOn members before they file fund-raising reports with the Federal Election Commission at the end of this month.
So you all know what to do now, right?
Hoeffel for Senate
Lois Murphy for Congress
