Have you figured it out yet? Dude, there is more to the story.
The situation in Central Asia is one that has been going on for quite some time. Some will tell you since the 1400's and before.
The story we get from Moore is a conspiracy theory. Basically it goes like this, Bush business ties to Saudi leaders made him "soft" on terror, so much so that he failed to see this attack coming. The theory is false on its face, and, childishly simplistic. There is no evidence that the Saudis were involved in 9-11. None.

With a United Nations sanctions enforcement support team due in Pakistan soon to monitor the extent to which Pakistan implements UN sanctions against Afghanistan, it has been learnt that the US government has requested Pakistan provide active support, including the secret deployment of US special forces in northern areas, for an operation inside Afghanistan to apprehend bin Laden "dead or alive any time soon". The UN sanctions against Afghanistan include handing over bin Laden, a travel ban on senior Taliban officials, an arms embargo (which has not yet been monitored) and a ban on international flights.

The visas issued came through an American office in Saudi Arabia. Some of the hijackers are suppossed to be from Saudi Arabia, but, none has been shown to have any ties at all to Saudi Arabian government, military or royalty, or Bin Laden. Bush family is an oil family so having ties to Saudi Arabian business men puts them at par with a whole ton of American oil barons. The evidence is simply not there. Kerry has a fundraiser named Nemazee a shady Iranian linked to Clinton corruption and the Mullahs of Iran. Is Kerry tied to Islamic terror? It's a red herring.
Call Jerry Bruckheimer! This is the stuff Hollywood is made of - and also the stuff of debacles such as Jimmy Carter's attempted rescue of US hostages in Iran. Any Mujahid worth his Kalashnikov in Afghanistan these days - up to commander Ahmadshah Masoud himself - is on the record as saying that Cruise missile attacks will cause no damage whatsoever to the already ravaged country.
Officially, Musharraf has rejected his support for this latest Hollywood ploy, and has been frantically trying to convince the Americans any brutal action against Osama or his so-called "terrorist sanctuaries" will fuel a radical Islamic backlash in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia of "burn, baby, burn" proportions. It doesn't matter that the strike would have the full approval of the United Nations and the G-8 countries - this would be an added reason for a series of Islamic counter-strikes across the industrialized world.
Under an army of spinners, this nifty "George W does Rambo" number will be played to the galleries as one of the latest American foreign policy initiatives concerning Afghanistan. It's no secret America wants even more sanctions against the Taliban - and maybe against Pakistan. But as many people either in the Pashto belt on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border or in the Tajik-speaking areas have been saying out loud for months, there is no Western policy concerning Afghanistan - except the UN sanctions, which among others, call on the Taliban to hand over bin Laden.

I personally do not care who is guilty. What I care about is that the culprits are brought to justice. The fact that instead of an investigation, arrest, trial and conviction we got a conviction with no evidence and punished the innocent civilians of two sovereign countries for the crime is itself a crime. The White House is a crime scene, get out the yellow tape, bring the suspects in for questioning and get on with it.
Its been 3 friggin years. American justice does not work this way, or should not, you are either hotter than Satan's pajamas over this or just brain dead to the reality that victims have a right to know the truth, no matter what. This investigation: mass murder, 3,000 horrible deaths, the biggest murder investigation in the history of the Nation, and we get this shit?
Forget about the Saudis. You don't see them yelling "Allah Akbar" and blowing themselves up while buying racehorses in KY, and, partying in Vegas. What in God's name do the Saudis gain by provoking all out invasion from US?
Let's look at what is really going on in the world.
Whether it is Tel Aviv or Tashkent, Moscow or Manila, New Delhi or Washington, the refrain that is being orchestrated frequently relies on buzzwords like "fundamentalism" or "extremism", all said to be fueling terrorism, the 21st Century's "enemy".
Ever since the collapse of communism with the break-up of the Soviet Union a decade back, a big issue has always been the question: who will be the next enemy? After all, for decades on end after World War II, bloated bureaucracies, intelligence organizations, arms contractors, media outlets, think tanks, and even Hollywood had worked overtime to contain, counter and combat the "Evil Empire" as former US president Ronald Reagan graphically characterized the communist system.
But once communism suddenly collapsed to everyone's surprise, analyses, alliances, armaments all had to "switch gears" in the quest for a new credible adversary, or conjure up one in the process. That is precisely what seems to be happening now.
It is an abiding irony that roots of this violence can actually be traced back to US policies during the decade-long Afghan War, the last battle of the Cold War. When the Russians invaded Afghanistan in 1979, the CIA pumped in US$2.1 billion over a 10-year period (with matching funds from Saudi Arabia and another $1 billion donated by the Chinese) to create a resistance that at its height included almost 200,000 highly-motivated volunteers from 20 Muslim countries.
They were trained in Pakistan but supported covertly by a disparate coalition comprising Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, China and the United States. Osama bin Laden was among the early recruits to the Afghan jihad, along with thousands of others.
This Washington-created coalition - some even called it an "Islamic International" - had motivated Muslims to its fold, and once the Red Army was driven out of Afghanistan, these "out-of-work" freedom fighters had little to do. Some stayed on to fight the remnants of the Soviet regime or dispersed into factions, others returned to their countries to create a new dreaded force of "Afghan Arabs" that became active in Egypt, Algeria, Palestine, Yemen, Tunisia and Jordan. Some turned on their American mentors. The more motivated even fought in Bosnia and Kosovo.

The brilliant part of Moore's work is this: If you want to look for a new enemy ... look within:
Michael Moore's box-office smash "Fahrenheit 9/11" is keeping the phones ringing in the office of Rep. Porter Goss, R-Liar-Sanibel. Moviegoers have been calling Goss' office since the film's debut last week. In the film, Goss is shown discussing the Patriot Act. He mentions that Americans with concerns about U.S. intelligence can call an 800 number. Moore informs viewers there is no such number and displays the number for Goss' office across the street from the U.S. Capitol. "We're getting hundreds of calls," said spokeswoman Julie Almacy. [Goss' phone number: 202-225-2536. You may want to ask him about the following incident, cited on globalfreepress.com. "During the Sep11th week, it was Porter Goss, together with Bob Graham, who met with the head of Pakistan Secret Service, ISI, who was already in the U.S. before the attacks. The reason for this meeting was never disclosed."]

So what right? Well Pakastani ISI (you remember them from BCCI, right?) chief Mahmood wired lead hijacker Atta 100 grand. When this fact came out in India's press, Mahmood quietly retired. Who's the new boss at the CIA? Porter Goss.
I don't hear Democrats telling Iraqis to "take back their country?"
Back to the fall of Baghdad
"We knew that if the United States decided to attack Iraq, we would have no chance faced with their technological and military power. The war was lost in advance, so we prepared the post-war. In other words: the resistance. Contrary to what has been largely said, we did not desert after American troops entered the center of Baghdad on April 5, 2003. We fought a few days for the honor of Iraq - not Saddam Hussein - then we received orders to disperse." Baghdad fell on April 9: Saddam and his army where nowhere to be seen.
"As we have foreseen, strategic zones fell quickly under control of the Americans and their allies. For our part, it was time to execute our plan. Opposition movements to the occupation were already organized. Our strategy was not improvised after the regime fell." This plan B, which seems to have totally eluded the Americans, was carefully organized, according to these officers, for months if not years before March 20, 2003, the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The objective was "to liberate Iraq and expel the coalition. To recover our sovereignty and install a secular democracy, but not the one imposed by the Americans. Iraq has always been a progressive country, we don't want to go back to the past, we want to move forward. We have very competent people," say the three tacticians. There will be of course no names as well as no precise numbers concerning the clandestine network. "We have sufficient numbers, one thing we don't lack is volunteers."
