Hey, I thought it would be pretty interesting to get everybodies prediction of the total number of votes for each candidate in Novemember. Mainly because turnout is key, percentages only give an overview. It's how many people actually get out to the polls that matter.
What matters even more, is that for the downticket races, new/more voters brings wide coattails. Likewise, there is such a thing as negative coattails, where the Presidential candidate adversely affects the downticket.
So what's your prediction? Before the big bounce. (Which won't be that big in polls. It WILL be big come Novemeber).
My prediction is..
John Kerry 60-65 million votes.
George W Bush 45 million votes.
Nader .5 million
Libertarian 3 million.
Do the math.
