Those of you who caught the 3 hour, 34 minute Judiciary Committee hearing on Guantanamo Bay Detainees yesterday (described here:
http://inside.c-spanarchives.org:8080/cspan/cspan.csp?command=dprogram&record=184640544) know that it was an essential document to add to the record of the international crimes being perpetrated by this administration. It is scheduled to be re-aired on C-SPAN 3 immediately following the Downing Street Minutes meeting.
However, the Viewer Services person at C-SPAN says there will be no further airings of the Guantanamo Bay Detainees hearing after this one.
Nothing, in other words, that can be videotaped by those of us who only get C-SPAN's 1 and 2.
If you think this program should be aired again on C1 or C2, please consider phoning the Viewer Services number: Viewer Services: (765) 464-3080 and either asking them or leaving a message if it's after hours to suggest that they re-air the Guantanamo Bay Detainee hearing on either C1 or C2 this weekend when their schedule is not taken up by live congressional coverage.
Thanks! And while you're at it, ask them to re-air the DSM Meeting several times, including this weekend (specify C1 or C2 please!!!) We are seeing history made at these meetings such a small percentage of our population are watching...
