30 Second sound bites are so Republican. You have real positions on issues that take time to explain, but that time can't be taken during campaign stops and rushed interviews. The web site is good but doesn't deliver to Americans who can't or won't use the internet and let's face it, most Americans want their information delivered via TV. So here's my suggestion: sit down with a camera and take 20 minutes or so to describe your position on the environment intelligently and in detail. Share the spotlight with recognized experts in the field. Include videos of the ice shelf collapsing as required. I'm not looking for a stump speech or fundraiser here; we're defining your actions for the next 8 years. Then mail that environment position DVD to everyone on the Sierra Club list. Do the same for corporate regulation, Iraq, terrorism, education, energy, etc. and send them all to the appropriate mail lists. Make them available via BitTorrent for us on the Net. Don't forget the media.
I want you to explain your plans to fix our environment to me personally on my screen. I want to hold you accountable for what you tell me once you're elected. And I really do want you elected. You don't even need to send me a copy of the DVD - I'll download it myself, thank you. And I'll make copies for all my friends as well.
