I woke up early to go to work because I have to have take my car to the shop. My neighbor accidentally blew concrete dust all over it. (Yes I have bad luck!)
But what really ticked me off is seeing this incredible article on Earthlink news page:
Kerry Promise on Iraq Rings of Nixon
So I get the point that Kerry is promising a plan to get us out of Iraq. I get the point that Kerry is not not being specific. I get the point that he is not stating which allies he has spoken with, nor which if any have offered possible cooperation.
But since Kerry is a candidate and not yet elected, what reporter in their right mind would expect him to name such allies. Possibly that ethic might make this plan vague to any rationally challenged reporter who expected a roster of the such nations.
By contrast, Bush's plan of going it alone (with Haliburton) is exquisitely clear. "When you have dug a hole keep digging!" Nothing unclear there.
I would suggest to this reporter, Ron Fournier, that a comparison of Bush's secretive, paranoid, vindictive policies and actions are a far closer fit to the Nixon example.
