Well, the Kerry family went off to the Grand Canyon today. I stayed home and caught the noon news about Kerry. Of course the reporter was standing at the rim of the canyon with the canyon used as a backdrop. He discussed that the media wasn't going to get to take any footage of Kerry, but would have to use "pool" footage for a later news broadcast (sorry, I slept through it)
The train that Kerry has been travelling on was at the Canyon and there was some interviews of people looking at the train. Shoot. The first guy was a veteran who said that he was a strong Bush supporter who thinks Kerry doesn't know how to tell the truth. The next interview was with a woman who giggled and was excited to see the train and hoped to see Kerry as he might be the next president? Yes, she said it as a question. Darn.
Anyway, Kerry is having an event in Kingman, Arizona tonight and as this is a more conservative town in AZ, I'm hoping things go well. If you want to read about how his event went last night in Flagstaff here's my earlier diary. Hey! I actually am hitting my two-diary a day limit! It doesn't happen often for me.
Kerry Event in Flagstaff. Wow.
