Over at
Real Climate, they do a nice job of explaining the science of global climate change. Today they take on Sen. James Inhofe, showing the errors in his January 4 speech to the senate.
A sample:
Cutting through much of his polemic, Inhofe's speech contains three lines of scientific argument which, according to him, provide "compelling new scientific evidence" that anthropogenic global warming is not threatening. We now submit his statements to scrutiny.
It is nice to see this response to Inhofe and his ilk. A recent LTE in my newspaper that said similar things. Crichton did not help things with his lateset book either.
We have to counter this growing trend of disbelief regarding the environment. Climate change (global warming if you prefer) is going to make it harder for many people, and will certainly cost most in terms of quality of life.
