Parents battle doctors as critically ill newborn fights for her life
Little Knya Dismuke Howard is only five months old. She is still fighting for her life at Memorial Hermann Hospital. But while she's in the intensive care unit, her parents are fighting against doctors.
Knya's father Charles Howard said, "Every time I see her eyes open it lets me know that she's still here and she's still fighting. So I want to fight with her until the end."
Funny, isn't that essentially what Terri Schiavo's parents said? I'm sure as soon as President Bush is done with his press conference, he and Congress will be passing a law at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow to save this little girl's life.
Oh, wait. Her family probably doesn't have any money, and the filthy rich radical religious groups are too busy picketing Dairy Queens and threatening Microsoft over gay human rights to contribute millions of dollars and go stand outside the hospital with duct tape over their mouths. I guess she doesn't merit a special session of Congress then. Sorry, little Knya.
