I am graduating a Chemical Engineer this Spring, and have decided to look at graduate school. I think I can muster the credentials for a top school.
I turn to the DailyKos community because my research interests are Sustainable Energy and its enviroment considerations.
My only requirement is that the school is on the East coast, and has a direction (or willingness) towards the energy topic. MIT and Cornell both have research tracks aimed toward this. They are my current top 2 choices.
I am getting excited at the idea of doing something I want to do (ie- energy research). I cannot tell you how many working hours I've wasted either reading Jerome's diary, searching for new biodiesel recipes, or sketching my own future-motorcycle-with-exotic-powerplant on my notes.
So Kossacks, any recommendations? Or any experiences that might be helpful?
Sorry for the personal nature of the diary, if it offends anyone I will take it down.
