An indictment isn't good enough for Dick Cheney. I think someone needs to go after his war profiteering.
Cindy Sheehan comes to mind. Or a group representing the children of soldiers who've given their lives in Iraq. Or those who've lost limbs or suffered other long-term injuries. They're much more entitled to the $8 million Cheney's made off the war.
That's right. $8 million in stock options (up from a paltry $242,000 his Halliburton options were worth just last year. And we all know whwere the 3,281 percent increase in Halliburton stock came from. Iraq. (Thanks to the Kossak who provided that from Raw Story.)
It's sickening to think someone can be vice president of the United States, lie to start a war and then make $8 million off of that war.
It's revolting. It's immoral. It's got to be illegal.
I think we should do something about it.
Anybody have any ideas?
Do we have any legal recourse? If he's indicted and there's evidence he lied to start the war and profited from those lies, does someone like Fitz have the power to confiscate the profits? Even if he's pardoned by Bush? If not, can someone sue? Can someone contact Cindy Sheehan? I think it' a great cause for her to add to her existing work against the war.
And I want all those good Christians who supported Cheney and the war to know how much money he's made off of it.
