Armando since you were following Roberts pretty closely, I was wondering if you knew anything about yesterday's arguments on Oregon assisted suicide and how Roberts questioning went. I can't find a transcript online yet.
There is part of me that is holding out hope (maybe naive) that Roberts will fall in the the state's rights/federalist spirit of his mentor, Renhnquist, and say that this falls within the powers of Oregon, and not the federal government, to regulate. Seems like its a possibility for a guy who would like to see a narrower ICC clause--but maybe I'm just grasping at straws.
In any event, it it will be an interesting test to see exactly what kind of conservative he is.
