This isn't really a review but more of a contrast between the comic for those who haven't read it.. If you plan on reading the comic, below will contain spoilers for that too ;)

The comic V for Vendetta was far different from the movie and it is what I recommend reading - even if you dislike this movie.
The movie leaves out a LOT of sexuality that was incredibly dramatic in the comic.
There was two wives which were KEY PARTS of the story line. One woman treats her husband like shit and has an affair behind his back while the other one is abused and mistreated. The president is actually KILLED by one of these women at the end.
The british tv guy who Natalie Portman lives with is NOT gay in the comic. In fact, the girl played by Natalie Portman has sex with him and this is a very sexual part of the comic book. They made him gay to avoid having a sexual scene in the movie. The man ends up dying because he was peddling illegal goods and he is killed because of his business.
The girl during the beginning is also attempting to be a prostitute when the fingers catch her on the streets. They leave this out.
By cutting out these key dramatic parts(probably because Americans have a hang-up about sexual scenes), they really made it so the only thing defaulted was the violence. It really, really bugged me that they cut all this out.
For all of you complaining about there not being enough violence and/or V talking, that's really in the style of the comic. There isn't a lot of action. It's not the Matrix. V does have long, very drawn-out dialogues.
After all the cut-outs of sexuality, I was surprised they even included the lesbian in the prison.
The movie's ending isn't the same as the comic - we never really get a clear picture of what is really going to be the "future". In fact, Evey becomes V and she puts on the mask. She even adopts a disciple at the closing of the comic.
