A large pay raise the Pennsylvania legislature voted itself has been reversed in a bill that is now going to Pa. governor Ed Rendell.
The pay raise had passed by overwhelming margins in a 2:30 a.m session during the summer, and party discipline was enforced by both parties to prevent dissenters.
But there was overwhelming and persistent citizen backlash, and the repeal passed the House with only one dissenting vote, and the Senate with no dissenting votes
