Don't call Oprah "vile things" like gay. Oprah's words. I heard Oprah complain and brag recently that she doesn't get as upset as she used to when she or Steadman or her good close friend who can never seem to find a man, are called gay. "Vile," Oprah says, with blank, rich, hurt, unaware eyes.
I remember years back when Barbara Walters asked Richard Gere if he was gay. Gere smiled and said, "If I were, what would be wrong with that?" "Wow," I thought, "one guy out of ten thousand is not at war with himself.
So now Jake Gyllenhaal says he's "flattered" by the rumors that he's bisexual because it means he can play more characters believably." Make that two out of twenty thousand are at ease with themselves. Mr. Gyllenhaal
is in a movie with makeout scenes with Heath Ledger called "Brokeback Mountain." And he played his part so well that people assume he wasn't acting.
I've never watched Oprah's show. Oprah scares me too much. When I channel surf and I see Oprah's face, I see the terrible pain in her eyes of having made herself invisible and I get afraid and quickly find a soothing "Law and Order." Oprah mines peoples' souls for fun and profit while emphasizing her good works and sanitizing her longtime companions. It's a living.
So Jake is "flattered" by his bisexual rumors and Oprah calls her rumors "vile." I see a terrible choice I may have to make soon. I might have to finally watch Oprah if she has Jake Gyllenhaal on as a guest.
