I want the media to ask one question of the GOP members of the GOP: "Is there a scenario where you would vote to confirm a judge while simultaneously accepting your colleagues argument that this consitutes extraordinary circumstances?:
It hadn't occurred to me until now, but I can't imagine how this would happen. If Mike DeWine thinks that a judge is confirmation-worthy, what would ever make him think that that same judge is extraordinary enough to merit a filibuster? Who would vote for a judge that he considered to be so extraordinary?
I never liked this agreement, because I thought the Democrats were giving up too much. It now occurs to me that the Republicans weren't giving anything up at all.
