As much as I used to love James Carville and his Louisiana schtick and his wordplay with his wife on Russert, I have got to agree with Ariana Huffington.
http://www.alternet.org/...
Carville and the rest of the DLC types must just get the hell out of the way and let the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party kick some ass.
More below the fold.
Huffington's point is that Carville doesn't want to talk about Plamegate or the Iraqi War debacle because his wife Mary Matalin is standing in the same room with the perpetrators of the war and the deception that was the Bushies justification for taking us to war. Makes sense to me. So James just wants to talk about national health insurance, education and energy.
These are important issues, but the real issue is the attempted fascistic take over of our country by this right wing band of lunatics, and the use of war and terrorism scares to keep the public cowed and buffaloed and uniformed. (Orwell is a fucking prophet of corporate fascism, not just socialistic totalism).
Huffington is right. Carville and his crew must go. Howard Dean and Kossacks and other progressives need to hurry Carville and his fellow travelers off the podium. They don't speak for my Democratic party because they aren't screaming about the corruption of Bush, the Republicans, the lying liars of the noise machine, the evil of the Iraq war and the complete and utter depravity of people like Rove and Libby and maybe Matalin who define country as Party.
