Well since I dogged Hillary 3 days in a row, I figured it was time to rag on another DLCer for not speaking out against Bush breaking the law.
Then someone sent a link to Huffington Post where Biden does condemn Bush's actions as illegal.
I am in shock, and b/c I started this diary to flame on Biden, I now have to retract my anger and say, "Wow, Joe I didn't think you had it in ya."

This is the oath taken by the President:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

This is the oath taken by Senators:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

Here is the 4th Amendment giving Americans the right to privacy for over 200+ years:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

It is the sworn duty of our elected officials to defend the Constitution.
There is a time when silence becomes betrayl, and elected democrats and republicans that refuse to defend the Constitution are liars and traitors. For once I was wrong about one of our democratic senators, Biden HAS spoken out against the spying! So even though I can't stand him, I have to give him credit for not completely sucking for once.
Flame me if you want but I don't negotiate when it comes to the Bill of Rights.
