I don't need to summarize the evidence. If you're following the story, you know it's all but a done deal. The various permutations are uncertain, but you can bet the Pentagon is getting ready to go. Either that or Israel will be given the green light.
If we hadn't gone to war with Iraq, this wouldn't be happening. Had we used our post-9/11 capital wisely, the entire world would be putting pressure on Iran right now.
But we lashed out wildly after 9/11 and now catastrophe is looming. I feel utterly powerless, as time moves forward and rumours of war grow louder. An attack on Iran will have incalculable consequences. I won't go through the scenarios, as I'm sure they've been explored in depth elsewhere.
My fundamental question: how are YOU dealing with this certainty? How are YOU dealing with the possibility that we may wind up using nuclear weapons on Iran, in a worst-case scenario?
I for one am completely at a loss. But I do know that not a single issue matters as much as this.
