I want to be horrified. A
suicide bombing in Hilla, Iraq apparently killed 106 persons, wounding 133:
A suicide car bomber detonated explosives amid a crowd of people south of Baghdad today, killing at least 106 and wounding 133, police and witnesses said.
Babil province police said in a statement that 106 people were killed and 133 others were wounded in the blast in Hilla, about 60 miles south of Baghdad.
Dozens of bodies could be seen laying on the ground after the blast, and half a dozen ambulances raced to the scene, ferrying casualties to a nearby hospital, witnesses said. Severed legs, hands and human flesh were scattered around the area.
The huge blast damaged nearby shops and parked cars, and sent panicked people fleeing."
The bad thing is: I feel I am getting used to it. So many deaths, so many bombings: Reports of killings in Iraq became as common as the weather report. I start to hate myself for this.
I hope all the best for the injured and mourn with the families of those who died.
