This morning I read
two interesting quotes from Robert Knight of the radical conservative group Concerned Women for America. For those who may not be familiar with CWA, of all the groups looking to limit women's rights and the rights of gay citizens, they are among the most radical. Given their agenda, it could very well be argued limiting civil rights is their entire reason for existence. For example, not only are they radically anti-reproductive rights, this group actually opposed many of the anti-gay amendments passed this past year because
they did not go far enough to limit the civil rights of gay Americans.
Without any further babbling on my part, here are the two pearls of wisdom:
"The agenda of the left is to make religion strictly private and pornography public. And the people behind this agenda, more often than not, are homosexual activists."
"Millions of Americans are waking up to the fact that the phrase 'Happy Holidays' is less a happy greeting than a pointed assault on our civil liberties."
More below the jump.
Damn, he figured out the the secret agenda. Forget protecting civil rights and health care for all. Forget a sane foreign policy which protects America. Forget protecting social security and providing jobs. Forget all that and anything else Democrats seem to be fighting for. What Kerry really ran on was a platform of private religion and public pornography. What a freaking wingnut doofus.
And talk about irony. His group exists to lobby against civil rights, yet he not only complains about the phrase "Happy Holidays," he paints it as a civil rights violation. Is he serious? Hypocrite is not a strong enough word for such a person. I guess his position is oppression is a civil right.
Why does the media continue to give these people attention? And are conservatives really happy with people such as Knight as their spokespeople? Maybe they are.
