I reckon any pharmacist who has issues with dispensing the pill will also have problems with selling condoms, personal lubricants and other family planning products. But sitting over that counter at the pharmacy they don't have to deal with that.
But if you're filling another prescription (antibiotics, antacids, antihistamines, fluoride, whatever) you can generally pay for a couple other items at the pharmacy for efficiency's sake.
So here's my idea: if someone could keep an online list of pharmacies/pharmacists who are denying women their birth control pills, we can make sure that a whole bunch of damn liberals show up at that pharmacy to fill every other prescription they've got and try to buy some condoms as well.
If they refuse to ring up the sale:
Notify the store manager.
If they suggest that you pay for the prescription, then ring up the condoms at a regular register, refuse.
If you are unable to carry out the purchase on your terms, tell them that you are taking your prescription elsewhere.
Any thoughts?
