For several decades now, the US Military has represented the best of all of us. Best at diversity. Best at meritocracy. Best at systems. Best at "be all you can be."
This week, they proved that, despite the lickspittle Joint Chiefs, the Military is still in the forefront of our social and political institutions.
Name me another group - corporate, political or non-profit that when confronted with evidence of fundamental misunderstanding of mission and wrongdoing that would address it. Right away. No study. No investigation. No lawsuit.
I view the Stand-Down Day as a positive. It re-affirms that the Military is committed to the Right Way, not the expedient way.
