There certainly seems to be a lot of Kerry bashing on this website. Almost an obsession. Get over it. He lost. Stop the blaming.
He is not going to get the nomination for the Democratic Party in 2008. Good. He shouldn't. He had his chance. It is over.
But Kerry is still fighting for the children in the United States. Kerry has a lot of name recognition. I am thrilled he is going around the country speaking out on behalf of the 11 million uninsured children in this country. Someone needs to and Kerry is. We need him on Oprah. He can babble about the lost election. Whatever needs to happen. We need him on every damn talk show in this country speaking out for the children.
I am highly concerned that Democrats all over this country are not supporing Kerry's "Kid's Come First" act because they do not like children. Is this logical? NO!
I want universal healthcare provided for all. But it is not going to happen. The "Kid's come First" Act probably won't pass this year either. We need to support it anyway. Seniors have Medicare. What do the children have?
The children have parents who go to jobs where they don't get paid a living wage and are not offered health insurance even at high premiums. The children cannot go out and get health insurance. They need us to protect them.
As Hillary says, it takes a village. This is an opportunity for the people of this nationwide village to do the right thing and take care of our collective kids.
I do not care if you are angry at Kerry. I don't care if you hate him with every fiber in your being. Help the children. Do the right thing and support this bill. Write your Senator and ask him or her to support this bill. Write a letter to the editor of your newspaper. Cosponsor the bill. Link below.
