Some early reaction to the slime effort against Harry Reid. In addition to the great
Left in the West stuff I mentioned in previous posts, there's a bit more going on at this late hour.
Steve Gilliard, world's best ranter:
The real problem is that Harry Reid isn't Tom Daschle. He's playing for keeps, so if they can tie him down with this nonsense, all the better for them. See, Reid isn't widely known outside of the blogs and politics. So if they can define him like they did John Kerry, they can limit his effectiveness.
They are full of shit, if they weren't, they wouldn't use their house bitch at the WashTimes to pump this silly story.
Meanwhile,
Talk Left has found two more media mentions of the FBI memo that has the Senate smear artists all atwitter. In addition to the Detroit Free Press, she's dug up mentions in Roll Call and U.S. Fed News. Including the Gannet mention I dug up, that's (at least) four media hits on the FBI file.
And any dumbass knows that every judge has an FBI file. They do background checks on all of them before going on the bench, for christ sakes.
If you're reading this post and wondering what the heck this is all about, scroll down. There's lots to catch up on.
Update: Tim Tagaris has more.
