Daily Kos member randym77 and I have worked on this image for several days, now, and here it is. A picture is worth 1000 words, and this one could be worth 10,000. (Image link is
http://mysite.verizon.net/vze78spq/starwars3.jpg .)
Can this image help educate Americans about the Nuclear Option issue etc.? I suspect so. Therefore, do people here know people at Air America, Jon Stewart, Star Wars fan sites, Letterman, Indymedia, Lucasfilm, Variety, Newsweek, CNN, Keith Olbermann, Anti-Bush t-shirt manufacturers, or anyone else who'd be happy to show this image or comment on it? Sooner the better! Even if you don't know them personally, they can be e-mailed, etc.
(I'm not including links because you may know contact info better than I do.)
I'm glad if this "Sith Happens" image amuses DKos readers, but it could be more than just entertainment. The image assigns Bush administration figures appropriate places in the Star Wars mythos and shows the Death Star incinerating the Capitol Dome rather a la "Independence Day".
(mo below)
"Subverting the Senate" happens in the Sith movie, AND in real life with the nuclear option...unless the people can stop it now! Let's point out the amazing coincidence to the public, about the movie vis-a-vis reality!
(We thought about putting "The End of the Republic" in the photo, but it may not be necessary.)
...If Daily Kos members couldn't do anything with this image to educate the public and jive with the mighty "Force" of "Revenge of the Sith" coming out now, then, uh, they wouldn't be the creative Kossacks I know! (heh). But do send this image link around, please: perhaps it can get news coverage, and reinforce that even GEORGE LUCAS is now hinting in press conferences, that the Sith are remarkably like certain Republican leaders..... Even sending "Sith Happens--Subverting the Senate" to friends would be helpful, of course, not just to bloggers/news media.
I know you are extremely creative and dedicated people. Your suggestions are welcome as to what to do with this image, even any "improvements". (Though we've spent a while working on it already. But if you have a better version in mind...)
Thanks for your time! And special thanks to randym77 for Photoshopping the image!! (My computer skills are limited, but I supplied ideas and "lyrics"...)
Hope to hear.
May the Kos be with you!!
