I was channel surfing tonight, and I stopped on Fox News simply because it appeared Michelle Malkin was hosting The O'Reilly Factor, and I wanted to figure out if that was the case. Within moments -- and it couldn't have been more than 15 seconds -- Michelle Malkin said that George Soros funds Air America. Now, Michelle Malkin writes a lot about how insidious Air America is, and about how dastardly George Soros is, so maybe she just got all the liberal forces of evil mixed up. One would think she would prefer to be informed about things she makes a living talking about, though. And this got me wondering, how common is this? I mean, I didn't even bother sending this in to Media Matters because I know they have more important Fox News lies to deal with today. And it seems that whenever I stop on Fox News, there's a lie within moments, and I have to flip away in order to preserve my ability to think critically. For those with brains able to withstand Fox News for longer periods without lasting damage, I ask, does Fox News literally lie every 15 seconds?
For now I'll just have to console myself in the knowledge that Fox News will surely correct the mistake on Monday's show.
