When did Karl Rove become Editor in Chief of the NYT?
You've all seen Armando's front page piece on Karzai wanting control over US forces. Well, guess what the pundits will discuss when Afghanistan comes up during tomorrow's Sunday talk shows? Guess what the MSM will focus on when Karzai visits next week?
Here's a hint: Tomorrow, the Sunday Times' lead international story is not Karzai's outrage over the abuse and his insistence on the return of all Afghani prisoners as well as command of the military presence in his country. No! That is story two, "Army Faltered in Investigating Detainee Abuse".
The lead story, story one, which apparently "leaked" nearly ten days ago, appears under the headline, "U.S. Memo Faults Afghan Leader on Heroin Fight"
Congrats, Karl, for getting this story developed in time to screen the bad news you knew was coming. No more after the break.
