A new national poll from CNN/Gallup:
"The latest CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll found that among those questioned, 29 percent were very likely to vote for Hillary Clinton for president, 24 percent said they were somewhat likely, 7 percent were not very likely, and 39 percent said they were not at all likely. The margin of error was plus or minus 5 percentage points.
The poll found her on stronger ground than in June 2003, when a similar poll had as its respective numbers: 21, 21, 12 and 44."
"According to the latest poll, 55 percent of respondents reported a favorable view of her, while 39 had an unfavorable one. The margin of error for that question was plus or minus 3 percentage points.
These findings were similar to the June 2003 poll that found 53 percent reacted favorably toward her and 41 percent unfavorably."

So 53% of Americans are somewhat likely or very likely to vote for Hillary in 2008. That's up from 42% in June 2003 (a net gain of 11%.)
I am really starting to be convinced that there's a lot of buyer's remorse among many Americans that voted Republican in November. And I'm also starting to wonder if we could be facing Clinton nostalgia by 2008.
Now, one request. Put aside the "I hate Hillary" rhetoric for just a bit. I'm not saying that she is the best candidate. There will be plenty of time for our party to choose its candidate.
I do think, though, that if the election were held today, she would probably win against a GOP establishment candidate. Let's just enjoy the moment, and realize that the American people are starting to recognize the Republican party has been taken over by the far-right extreme.
