I'm sick and tired of this.
We have investigations that need to go forward on Ohio campaign contributions. Corrupt politicians in Washington State. Guckert. Abu Gharib. Downing street and the run-up to war. How "Big Oil and Big Coal" formed energy policy.
And our MSM is having a big circle jerk about the idenity of "Deep Throat". How two reporters doggedly pursued a story that the MSM at the time wouldn't touch and in the process (to some) helped bring down a President.
But WHERE IS THE MSM NOW?
It strikes me that while our MSM continues to do nothing with the dozens of potential scandals at the White House, DoD and other branches of government, instead the MSM has two straight hours of coverage of a journalistic riddle of a more than 30 year old scandal that has exactly NO relevance to all the bullshit that is happening right now in the world.
This illustrates perfectly the disconnect between the "me" generation assholes who would prefer to dwell on this ancient history instead of working with the Gen X/Y folks to actually investigate the REAL, LIVE scandals that are just SITTING THERE, that depend on a E Pluberus Media or SusanHu to keep in the spotlight.
Why is this? Why do all these formerly courageous people now only care about Vietnam War records and 30 year old scandals? What's next, we're going to solve the mysteries of the Koh Tang incident??
I honestly believe this is a generational thing. The battles of 30 years ago are still being waged today, and it's killing our country. And dwelling on "Deep Throat" is mildly interesting but it doesn't advance any of dozens of Bush administration scandals forward. If the "me" generation would just wake of a freakin' second, maybe we could have the NEXT "Deep Throat" ready to spill the beans on this administration.
