Most Kossacks are probably aware that the indefatigable Susan Hu has been organizing a project to examine the recent FOIA releases concerning the U.S. government's wonderful forays into extra-, quasi-, pseudo-, and il-legal detention practices. So, now that we're trying to start organizing our information online (see the project's
infant dKosopedia wiki), we should probably come up with a better name than "We Read Lots Of Undecipherable Army Medical Documents, You Decide" ...
When I set up the wiki page, I stuck the name "Detention Practices Project" on it. It's a nicely general description of what's going on, but, well, it's pretty durn bland, ain't it?
So, anyone have any better ideas?
I don't know whether the project should have a provocative name or not. I expect some people would like it, but depending on what people want to do with the results of this project, it might be better to have something that sounds more like a research group than an activist group.
So, I don't know how this will work, but I figure some result will probably emerge from the usual mix of popular democratic sentiment and arbitrary dictatorial fiat.
