I sent off the following email today to president@whitehouse.gov.
I hope the underling who actually reads it is capable of appreciating satire.

President Bush:
I read that last night you criticized Democrats for offering only "the philosophy of the stop sign, [and] the agenda of the roadblock".
As a Democrat, I agree that we stand guilty as charged.
When one is confronting a fleet of large armored steamrollers whose drivers are as scornful of the rules of the road as they are oblivious to the destruction they are causing to the landscape and its inhabitants, stop signs and roadblocks are clearly inadequate responses to the situation.
We Democrats should instead be devoting ourselves to an agenda of immobilizing the marauding vehicles as swiftly and safely as possible, and replacing their heedless and arrogant drivers with responsible ones who will use them for the productive work that they were intended for.
I appreciate your attention to the shortcomings of my party, and will do my personal best to see that we act more firmly and effectively in the future.
Sincerely,
David Sewell
