I had been maintaining a fragile existence at RedState.org, trying to plant seeds of doubt, raise questions, and have rational discussion.
It was only for the purpose of trying to help avoid the dangers and fanaticism that an echo chamber produces. If I could accurately portray democrats, who are intentionally misrepresented as force of habit over there, in their correct light, and show one person the truth i considered it worthwhile.
I also really, genuinely wanted to see how these people think. Their worldview is so different from mine, I honestly wanted to try and understand how someone can arrive at a belief system based on what appears to me to be ...
...hate, fear & greed. I learned a lot, a whole lot. It's an experience I would recommend to everyone. See how many questions you ask before you can get banned. See how long you can last. You, if you are able to "survive", will find yourself better equipped to understand and react to conservatives. I hope to write more about what I learned soon. Also, you don't have to be "a moderate" to have civil discourse with what appears, at first, to be lunatics. I'm as liberal as they come, and did pretty well, was even offered a back-handed compliment as I was shooed out the door.
Well the experiment just ended. I was banned, just moments ago. It was my fault too, I lost it. To their credit they didn't ban me for being contradictory, they banned me for being hostile. Just thought y'all might like to see my "last words"
