This is a rant.
Occam's Razor tells us that the simplest explanation is likely the surest. And though Bush's recent polls give us reason to hope for a reasonable future, the very idea that 40% of us has any faith that Bush, the Lessor could conduct a 4 car (non military) funeral is something that defies comprehension.
How could a rational person conclude that Bush, the Lessor has a clue? The simple fact is that a rational person could not possibly arrive at that conclusion.
The simplest explanation is most likely to be the correct explanation, if I'm reading Occam corectly.
Partisanship - no more, no less.
"Well, duh, JoeWPgh" I hear you say. (As if the point of this diatribe was to lead you to this shining shore of political observation)
No. It's the most naked and glaring of partisanships. Bush is popular amoung repub partisans for the simple reason that he has single handedly redeemed the reputations of 2 failed republicans of national stature.
Put on the same shelf as Bush, Richard Nixon looks honest, and Dan Quayle looks smart. If you're a republican before you're an American, that's what counts the most.
I have no doubt that this paints me as a 'mean liberal' in some quarters. I don't want to be a mean liberal, but nothing else explains this deranged lame duck preznit.
I have no idea why I had to say this, but I did. Consider this a catch all for reasons to detest Bush, that are not mentioned by MSM.
That is all. I just had to get that off my chest.
