Daily Speech...
Thanks to the dishonesty and total incompetence of the George W. Bush administration which 51% of Americans foolishly returned to office last year, our world is much more dangerous today then before September 11, 2001.
As a result of the optional unnecessary war in Iraq, not only has much of the world "friendly" to us now consider us an unpredictable dangerous bully who started an illegal war, not only has the world's citizens now look on the United States with disdain and disgust, not only has Bush's actions led to a fever pitched rallying cry and recruitment tool for radical Muslim extremists as well as a live battle training ground in Iraq, but much more ominously, Bush's actions have stretched our military so thin that his threats of "all options are on the table" with regards to Iran and North Korea are hollow threats and both Iran and North Korea know that.
There is no way in hell the United States could mount a successful military campaign against Iran or North Korea. At best, they could try and economically squeeze them, but that is unlikely to have a significant impact because other countries thwart economic embargoes.
For all the neocons running around dreaming of democracy flourishing in the Middle East and Israel living in secure borders, they are fools.
Iran just elected a much more conservative president elected on a platform as a "man of the people", a champion of the common man, the poor. He is strongly supported by the Iranian mullahs and he is quite popular with the common masses in Iran. He was involved with the US Embassy debacle of 1979-1981 and he is not intimated by the United States. Iran will defiantly process their uranium and Iran will build nuclear weapons.
The United States and/or Israel will attempt to stop them militarily if possible with some sort of surgical strike and will probably fail as Iran's nuclear production facilities are moved underground in secure bunkers. And of course the United States and/or Israel need reliable military intelligence to carry out such missions and our recent track record on intelligence is not too good. Perhaps Mossad has better intelligence.
No, boys and girls, while our brave soldiers die in Iraq where we try and prop up an Islamic "democracy" tilting toward our real enemy Iran, we exhaust our military capability and national endurance for a real war with Iran or North Korea.
Both Iran and North Korea build nuclear weapons in part because their enemies have such weapons (Israel in the case of Iran as well as the United States) and also because of the United States illegal unilateral actions in Iraq.
Bush sheep (I mean supporters) can bellyache that the war in Iraq was necessary and that words like mine are treasonous and dishonor our troops in Iraq. Go ahead and bellyache and bitch. When they see North Korea and Iran test detonate nuclear weapons and the United States unable to do anything but complain in the United Nations thanks to our unilateral actions in Iraq, they will probably blame the "Blame America" crowd for that sorry state of affairs rather then the idiots in Washington who put our country in this situation.
These supporters will blame the peace lovers for our situation even as a real mushroom cloud bursts over an American city. Sure is a good thing we have mindless sheep buying into Bush's crap.
