Move America Forward! Yeah right! This is a group that is a front group and they are finally being exposed. Here is my story.
Over a year ago I found MAF on the net just around the time they launched. I wanted to know who they were. After all, they were the people who claimed to be for the troops. They also claimed that they were non-partisan.
I was troubled by this because the very first thing they did was start attacking Michael Moore. They claimed his " yet to be released," movie was a pack of lies.
Okay, so you are non-partisan and you support the troops yet you are attacking a movie?
So I did a search and found sourewatch and there it was, the information that explained it all!
Sourcewatch
I started posting the information in forums but no one seemed to care.
I joined the MAF Yahoo group and attempted to post the information there. What do you think happened? Of course they wouldn't post it! They even banned me!
Hmmm that was no surprise because they were in the middle of launching their email campaign.
They were emailing and calling movie theatre owners and harassing them into NOT showing Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911.
They made the news at around the same time the "Swift Boat Vets" did.
Then came the day recently when "Mr. Ego himself" Buzz Patterson, who sits on the board of Move America Forward responded to a thread in The Huffington Post .
The thread at The Huffington Post was about "The Truth Tour" which was another sham.
I was very thankful that he did post because it gave me a chance to expose him. I then challenged him to debate about this. He said he would love to but his posts weren't going through. I am STILL GAME BUZZ if you happen to read this!
I received an email by a lady named Diane and she suggested that I post here at The Kos so I did. Blog
Then Diane went on to email Keith Olbermann and the story finally broke!
I ask for more people to help look into how MAF is funded. I feel that they are not being straight with us. Why should we think otherwise?
They are now in the media and are a staple on Fox News. I think it is very important to expose them. It would also show that Fox News allows front groups to use their forum for so-called news.
This is a story of a group called sourcewatch and a couple of people taking action and getting results! It took over a year but it worked!
Thank you Diane for your efforts that paid off!
Diane was the only one who seemed interested at The Huffington Post and she ran with it.
The blogs are so powerful, where would we be without them?
