What Senator will have the balls to submit for inspection the GWBV Act of 2005? Would Harry Reid insist on a full reading of an act that called for all Americans to have a working vacation similar to that enjoyed by our President?
--some ideas after the break--
A BILL - To guarantee hard-working Americans appropriate vacation time as defined by the actions of the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``George W. Bush Vacation Act of 2005''.
SEC. 2. GUARANTEE OF FULL VACATION BENEFITS FOR ALL HARD-WORKING AMERICANS.
All Americans working an average of 40 hours per week, whether in a single employment position, or through multiple part-time employment positions, will be eligible for no less than four business weeks (20 days) of paid vacation in the months of June-August of each annum.
SEC. 3. SENSE OF CONGRESS REGARDING TREATMENT OF HARD-WORKING AMERICANS.
It is the sense of Congress that private and government employers in the United States should provide their employees with no less a summer holiday than that enjoyed by the 43rd President George W. Bush. This four business week (20 day) holiday will not impinge on any current vacation days, as the 43rd President's 5 business week vacation does not curtail frequent week-long vacation trips throughout the year. It is further the sense of the Congress that the 43rd President of the United States would not deem his work harder or more deserving of a vacation than military service, law enforcement, first-responder service, working in a mill, or any other "blue-collar" type employment. Thus, it is the sense of the Congress that ALL hard-working Americans must be granted the same opportunity to "hang-loose" and have some time for themselves as the 43rd President has granted himself.
