As first diaried
here, Dr. Ben Marble, along with his friends, made a video of Dr. Marble telling Dick Cheney to "go f--- yourself."
Dr. Marble listed the video on eBay, and some of us (myself included) bid on it there.
The sale item was later removed by eBay, and was relisted. Again I bid on it.
Then just today eBay pulled the item again, with no explanation to bidders other than their standard email, which I received at 1:57 pm EDT today (Sept 10):
Please be aware that the following listing:
Item Number - 7712202734
Item Title - DVD of me saying "GO ** YOURSELF" to DICK CHENEY
has been removed by eBay for violating of one or more of our policies. Any offers or bids placed on this listing are now null and void.
Because the auction was ended early, you as a bidder are not required to complete the transaction. Since this is a listing violation, the seller is free to relist the item in the proper format. Should you wish to do so, you are free to bid on the item again if it is relisted.
Please review eBay's Listing Policies and User Agreement at the following locations:

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Since eBay has now twice removed Dr. Marble's video, I am guessing that there's an ideological element at work here. At least, that's what we will have to assume until we get some other explanation.
It's hard for to me to imagine any reason why the sale of this video would be illegal or unethical.
Let's make sure eBay knows we are unhappy about this. I'm guessing that, with our combined resources and web expertise, the community could rather quickly put together an auction site where Daily Kos members would prefer to do business... don't you think?
