a lightbulb just went off in my head while reading posts about the media hype of gang warfare not really being a reality....
Is the governments systemic failure and slow response to the current crisis a result of paranoia and fear?
It's really the only thing that makes sense to me. I can't honestly see people as being so....soulless....in their decision making processes as is often portrayed in the comments that I read.
Maybe I'm too much of an optimist. maybe I just don't want to see that the love of money is really the root of the chaos of the past week....
But the "fear factor" certainly explains a few things, such as the rumor mill running rampant about armed gangs which has turned out to be rather false. Such as why FEMA wouldn't let anybody into NO until it was "secure".
Where do you thing bigotry, racism, and all those other ism's actually stem from? Its from fear...fear of "other".
It certainly explains the shoot first ask quesitons later attitude of the Iraq war.
When did this come about, or come to a head though?
Is it possible that 9/11 may have been the "last straw" so to speak which shocked us away from our comfort zones so violently so as to create a "mass pyschosis" from which the government aka "the bushites" have yet to recover?
I know that I am simplifying everything, but to see the big picture you kinda have to step back and send things into their lowest common denominiator.
Fear...but even more than fear....
more like a paralyzing pyschosis...
Well...it certainly explains the jaw movements...he's grinding his teeth.
